Tuesday, September 7 - The trip Home

Our flight back home on this last day didn't take off until 5pm, so we had a nice relaxing morning.

After breakfast -- muffins from Dunkin Donuts and coffee from Starbucks -- we decided to go over to the Cambridge area and check out MIT, and Harvard if there was time. It was quite a walk, so we actually just got to MIT via the Harvard Bridge over the Charles river. Since we didn't think they could process our applications in one day and without transcripts, we decided not to enroll.

We found out that Harvard was another mile and a half up the road, and because we didn't have a map of the MBTA on us, and didn't know how the T lines ran up there, we decided not to go. The long walk back toward the hotel was pretty exhausting, so we had to stop for ice cream at J.P. Licks. Then we returned to the hotel for a break but not before perusing the Tuesday Market in Copley Square. Ginger got a huge chocolate chip cookie and some cider. After our rest, Neil got an Italian Sausage sandwich on the Square and then we headed to the T for our journey to the airport.

The flight home was an easy one, though still 4 hours. The Last Airbender was even played for us, though only Ginger watched it. And well, she says don't waste your time if you haven't seen it already.
