Monday, April 18 - Snorkel Tour and Day 2 at the Resort

For our first full day, we booked a Snorkeling Tour departing from the marina in the heart of the city of Cabo San Lucas. So, around 9:00 after a tasty buffet breakfast, we boarded a shuttle that stopped a few times along the way to pick up some more passengers from other resorts as we made our way to the marina.

The 11:00 tour included a boat ride excursion out to see (in the short distance) the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas and the sunning seals before continuing on a 30-minute or so journey to our snorkeling destination. Along the way we saw all kinds of other boats, large and small, and even a replica Pirate ship! Passing the large rock formation capped with small mission, we headed in to the cove that was our snorkeling location.

While the snorkeling was a bust, very few fish and very cold water, it was a relaxing and scenic journey. Our delicious fajita lunch was cooked and served on board, and after everyone had gone through the line, there was plenty more for another pass.

The sailing back was also pleasant, taking us within just a few hundred yards of two enormous cruise ships (Carnival Panorama and Majestic Princess) anchored in the bay.

After the shuttle trip back to our resort, we still had plenty of time for a nap and to walk around before a tasty dinner at the Asian restaurant.

The resorts generally offer some kind of nightly entertainment. On this night, there was an Urban Dance show. We figured, why not?! What else are we gonna do? And the show was fantastic! We're so glad we stayed to watch. The performers are hotel staff and they did a great job!
