European Castle Tour - September 2006
Overview
We had such a great time in Europe on our honeymoon in 2003, that when it came time in 2005 to start thinking about another vacation, we started thinking Europe again. We are greatly blessed with the opportunity to travel as we wish and we began our trip by contacting Millie at Dan Dipert Travel, we started making plans in early 2006, planning exactly where we wanted to go.
Castle Tours was the theme of our 2006 excursion. We selected Southern Germany and Central France, since some of the most famous castles in the world are in this area of Europe.
On the first leg of the journey, we visited the BMW plant in Munich, the castles of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof, and the Swarovski World of Crystals near Innsbruck, Austria. Destinations in France included le Mont Saint-Michel, les châteaux de Chenonceau et Chambord et Cheverny, and the city of Nantes.
We kept sort of a log and took 1078 pictures, compiling a "virtual vacation" for you to enjoy.
